So, we have been introducing Zoë and Kaylee to each other. We started off with neutral territory (the bath tub). There was some dominance grooming, and a few tussles. So we did bath tub a second time, and it went much smoother. (Not that the first time was very bad, it was well within acceptable first time meeting.) Then we moved on to more contested territory, the couch. It went fantastically. There was grooming, but no wrestling. In fact, they seemed to get along very well, and Zoë is, I think, already warming up a little more to us under Kaylee's influence. We're going to try another evening on the couch, I think, and then do a very thorough scrub of the big cage and put the two of them together, finally. Hopefully, it will all turn out and they will be two cuddly rats in a cage. If/When that happens, I will snap pictures. Not only am I updating here, but we should send out an email to the shelter we got Zoë from, let her know how things are working out with the rat she adopted to us. I'm sure she'll be pleased to know that Zoë is slowly warming up to people, and is in a good home.

That's about all there is to report at the moment, but I thought people might like to hear how things are going with the rats.
